Print. Mix. Match.

Print on print is a huge trend this season and can be a lot of fun if done correctly. But getting this trend right can be a tricky affair. Mixing them together to get a bold and beautiful look is what you need to work on. Here are some tips:

Stick to the same colour scheme
Mix prints which are in the same colour family. You could try teaming a green paisley blouse with a green polka dotted or striped skirt. Keep the colours harmonious by wearing different shades of the same colour

Go easy on the accessories
If you’re unsure rather add a solid bag or clutch or statement necklace. Also, I would limit accessories to a bare minimum.

Balance is the key
Balancing two prints is the key to but getting the balance right requires a little practice. Here are some tips you should keep in mind – balance out intricate prints with neutral hues and bright colours. Mix similar prints such as floral on floral or polka dot on polka dot. If you’re wearing a bold printed floral blouse, team it with a smaller print floral skirt or trousers. Same goes for other prints as well.

Remember…
Printed trousers are a huge trend this season and a lot of models on the ramp as well as celebrities have been spotted wearing printed pants with printed tops. While they can carry this look with ease, if you’re still new to this trend, you could end up looking a mess. If you’re on the heavier side I recommend you don’t mix two bold prints together.
